Rising singer-songwriter Avery Lynch has unveiled her profoundly introspective new EP, Glad We Met, out now via RECORDS/Sony Music, a nine-track collection rooted in raw vulnerability and quiet reflection that follows her intricate journey through heartbreak, healing, and the courageous rediscovery of love.

Built on a foundation of lush, melancholic piano arrangements and her signature soft, expressive vocals, the project includes previously released fan favorites like “Rain,” “the boys who don’t know what they want,” “think about it,” “Dead to Me,” “Lasting Effects,” and “Sweetheart,” seamlessly woven together with a handful of new tracks to form a complete and compelling narrative arc. This body of work marks a significant creative milestone for Lynch, as it is the first record she has ever co-produced, adding a profound new layer of intimacy and artistic ownership to a sound that has already captivated a rapidly growing fanbase and helped her surpass an impressive 130 million streams and 400,000 monthly Spotify listeners.

“The ‘Glad We Met’ EP is my favorite project I’ve ever made,” says Avery, who is originally from Pennsylvania and now based in Los Angeles. “Each song follows the beginning of the love story I’ve been living for over five years now. Some songs are about heartbreak and moving on, and others are about falling in love again. It all comes together with the title track ‘I’m Glad We Met,’ which tells the story of meeting my significant other, where we’ve gone, and where we are now.”

This masterclass in storytelling, which has earned her praise from tastemakers like Ones To Watch and EARMILK, stays true to the artistic process she began at the age of seven when she first sat down at a piano; to this day, every song begins the same way, with Lynch alone at her piano crafting intimate demos that she later shapes with trusted collaborators, a method that perfectly suits her description as a “happy girl filled with sad songs” who possesses a unique gift for turning raw emotion into quietly captivating and universally relatable songs.

To celebrate the release of this deeply personal chapter, Avery Lynch will bring these poignant melodies to life on stage this fall for a run of West Coast tour dates. The tour kicks off on November 14 at Mother Foucault’s Bookshop in Portland, Oregon, followed by stops at Barboza in Seattle on November 15, Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco on November 18, and culminates with a performance at The Echo in Los Angeles on November 19, offering fans a chance to experience the haunting beauty of Glad We Met in an equally intimate and authentic setting, a fitting next step for an artist whose music has always thrived on genuine connection.
