CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE (CLWP) has unleashed “PUNKS”, the explosive new ending theme for ONE PIECE’s epic Egghead arc. This is a defiant rejection of the typical anime song formula. It’s bizarre. It’s frenetic. And it delivers an absolute sonic gut-punch.
Driven by a glitchy “Piipapii papipo” vocal hook, a hyper-caffeinated chorus, and chaotic, high-energy production, “PUNKS” is a certified mosh pit starter, crafted for chaotic selfies and deep-night internet adventures. This is the quintessential CLWP sound: genre-obliterating, joyfully deranged, and fiercely unpredictable.
Even the single’s cover art embraces the anarchy, depicting Egghead’s Dr. Vegapunk trapped inside a flickering CRT television, violently collided with CLWP’s signature candy-coated, retro-futuristic aesthetic.
“I was utterly shocked—why would they choose us for a ONE PIECE ending!?” exclaims Chi-, the creative force behind CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE. “As a lifelong fan of both the anime and manga, I was overjoyed but also felt the immense weight of global expectation. Our mission was to channel our signature ‘PipaPipo’ futurism and raw, human passion into the track, crafting it with so much love my head nearly burst. Now, the only thing left to do is dance—are you ready?! Let’s go!”
The self-directed music video is a masterclass in sensory overload. A DIY sugar-rush rave, it bombards the viewer with mind-melting visuals, blending the aesthetics of a grungy sci-fi bar with a psychedelic neon candy shop.
The official non-credit version has also premiered on ONE PIECE’s YouTube channel, offering fans a pristine, distraction-free view of the ending’s full chaotic glory.
Boasting a rapidly expanding international following, a unmistakable visual style, and an endless supply of musical surprises, CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE is an undeniable rising phenomenon you will either immediately adore or be permanently haunted by. Perhaps simultaneously.
In 2025, there is no use resisting. Just embrace the PipaPipo.
