The wait is over—BLACKPINK has officially returned with their explosive new single “JUMP,” unveiled for the first time during the opening night of their “DEADLINE” world tour at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on July 5. This marks the group’s first full-group comeback performance in 2 years and 8 months, igniting a new era for the global superstars as they embark on their most ambitious tour yet.
A High-Energy Comeback & Tour Launch
“JUMP” made its explosive debut as the opening track of the concert, immediately setting the tone for BLACKPINK’s long-awaited return. The song’s high-octane energy and signature BLACKPINK swagger electrified the crowd, signaling a powerful new direction for the group. The “DEADLINE” world tour will span 31 performances across 16 cities, including major stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
This tour marks BLACKPINK’s first global run since their record-breaking 2023 “Born Pink” world tour, which solidified their status as one of the biggest acts in music history. YG Entertainment has significantly scaled up production for the Goyang concerts compared to their previous Seoul opening shows, promising even more dazzling stages, cutting-edge production, and never-before-seen performances.
Fighting Ticket Scalping with Fan-First Initiatives
Beyond the music, BLACKPINK is taking a stand against ticket scalping, a rampant issue that has plagued their concerts worldwide. In partnership with the Korea Popular Music Performance Industry Association, the group is launching an Anti-Scalping Campaign with the Audience, featuring a quiz event where winners will receive limited-edition stickers designed exclusively for the tour.
The issue of scalping has reached extreme levels—during their last tour, tickets in Taiwan were resold for up to NT$400,000 (approx. $13,400), a staggering 45 times the original price. BLACKPINK’s initiative aims to protect fans and ensure fair access to their shows.
What’s Next for BLACKPINK?
With “JUMP” now officially debuted, speculation is mounting about whether the song will receive a music video release or be part of a larger project. Given BLACKPINK’s history of record-smashing comebacks, fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting more details.
For now, the “DEADLINE” world tour is in full swing, and BLACKPINK is ready to reclaim their throne as the undisputed queens of K-pop.
