The rising Japanese boy group ONE OR EIGHT has unveiled their emotional new single “365”, marking their first release under major international label Atlantic Music Group. The eight-member ensemble—comprising MIZUKI, NEO, REIA, RYOTA, SOUMA, TAKERU, TSUBASA, and YUGA—continues their rapid global ascent with this romantic track, accompanied by a poignant music video directed by Japan’s acclaimed creative force Osrin (PERIMETRON).

A Love Letter to Fans and a Major Milestone

“365” blends a captivating melody with resonant beats, expressing a yearning to be by a loved one’s side every day of the year. But beyond its romantic theme, the song also serves as a tribute to their devoted fandom, 1DERZ, symbolizing the unbreakable bond between the group and their supporters.

REIA, one of the group’s members, shared the deeper meaning behind the track: “The title represents the length of our auditions for WARPs DIG, which was the beginning of our journey to become ONE OR EIGHT. Through the lyrics, we want to express our immense gratitude to 1DERZ, who have been with us through unforgettable moments.”

The single features songwriting from Nasri (known for his work with Justin Bieber), who expressed his excitement about the collaboration: “I was thrilled when ONE OR EIGHT chose our song. It’s perfect for them, and I hope their fans love it as much as we do.” Producer Noah Barer added, “From the moment we created the instrumental, we knew it was special. ONE OR EIGHT took it to another level—this is a banger!”

A Cinematic Music Video Packed with Emotion

The official music video, directed by Osrin (whose credits include work with King Gnu, millennium parade, and Mr. Children), unfolds as a nostalgic recollection of love and shared memories. Shot with a cinematic touch, it captures the group’s raw sincerity—playful yet deeply heartfelt.

Osrin reflected on the experience: “These guys are jagged, silly, and sincerely real. I pieced together my favorite parts of them, and by the end, I’d grown to love each one.”

From Humble Beginnings to Global Recognition

Since their August 2024 debut with “Don’t Tell Nobody” (produced by OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder), ONE OR EIGHT—whose name derives from the Japanese idiom “ichi ka bachi ka” (meaning “all or nothing”)—has been on an unstoppable rise. Their December 2024 single “KAWASAKI”, featuring Big Sean, further cemented their global appeal, with remixes including SB19’s Felip, thủy, and pH-1.

In 2025, they were named among Nikkei Entertainment!’s “100 Breakout Talents” and won the “Upcoming Dance & Vocal Group” award at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan. Their March 2025 release “DSTM”, which samples Rihanna’s iconic “Don’t Stop The Music”, made history as the first official use of the track in a new composition.

What’s Next for ONE OR EIGHT?

Fresh off their sold-out SHŪKAI fan meeting tour across North and South America, the group is set to bring their electrifying energy to Bangkok (July 26) and Japan (August 24 & 26). With more international events on the horizon, ONE OR EIGHT is proving they’re not just a J-pop sensation—they’re a global phenomenon in the making.
