The acclaimed director behind “Jujutsu Kaisen” unveils his long-awaited original series, featuring an all-star cast and pulse-pounding soundtrack.

A Dystopian Heist Adventure
Set in a crumbling future where survival depends on scavenging the past, “BULLET/BULLET” follows junk dealer Gear and his unconventional crew: Qu-0213, a malfunctioning robot with split personalities, and Shirokuma, a luckless gambling addict who happens to be a polar bear. Their dangerous double life as master thieves takes a deadly turn when they rescue a mysterious girl from assassins, triggering a chain reaction that threatens the corrupt powers controlling their world.

Elite Creative Team
Director Sunghoo Park (“Jujutsu Kaisen”, “The God of High School”) assembles an industry dream team:

  • “Character Design”: Takahiro Yoshimatsu (“Hunter x Hunter”)
  • “Mech Design”: Hidetaka Tenjin (“Mobile Suit Gundam”)
  • “Script”: Aki Kindaichi (“Uma Musume: Cinderella Grey”)

The voice cast features Marina Inoue (“Attack on Titan”) as Gear, with standout performances from Kazuhiro Yamaji (“PSYCHO-PASS”) as Shirokuma and Kana Hanazawa (“Quintessential Quintuplets”) in a key supporting role.

Musical Firepower
Chart-topping rapper Chanmina delivers the explosive opening theme “Work Hard”, while Tokyo rockers Newspeak provide the haunting ending track “Glass Door”.

Release Strategy
Disney+ will debut the series in two parts:

  • “First 8 Episodes”: July 16
  • “Final 8 Episodes”: August 13

The series joins Disney+’s growing anime catalog including “Tokyo Revengers” and the live-action thriller “Gannibal”.

Why It Matters
A decade in development, “BULLET/BULLET” represents Park’s boldest vision yet—a gritty, stylized fusion of cyberpunk aesthetics and dark humor that could redefine the heist genre in anime.

“Mark your calendars for July 16—this is one ride you won’t want to miss.”
