Pictures has dropped an extended preview of the highly anticipated “Superman,” which premiered at CinemaCon, and now you can watch it online! Mark your calendars for July 9th, because that’s when the Man of Steel soars back into cinemas worldwide.

This isn’t just another Superman movie. “Superman” marks DC Studios’ first feature film in their newly imagined universe, and it’s helmed by the visionary James Gunn. Gunn, known for his unique blend of epic action, humor, and heart, is bringing his signature style to the iconic superhero. This Superman will be driven by compassion and a profound belief in the goodness of humanity.

DC Studios heads Peter Safran and Gunn are producing this cinematic event, with Gunn also writing the screenplay, based on the legendary characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

The cast is nothing short of stellar. David Corenswet (“Twisters,” “Hollywood”) takes on the dual role of Superman/Clark Kent, while Rachel Brosnahan (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) brings Lois Lane to life. Nicholas Hoult (the “X-Men” movies, “Juror #2”) will be stepping into the iconic shoes of Lex Luthor. The film also features a powerhouse ensemble including Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince,1 and Neva Howell.

Behind the camera, Gunn is joined by his trusted collaborators. Director of photography Henry Braham, production designer Beth Mickle, costume designer Judianna Makovsky, and composer John Murphy are all on board, along with editors Craig Alpert, Jason Ballantine, and William Hoy. Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars Winther are executive producers.
