Legendary Danish rock band Mew, comprised of vocalist Jonas Bjerre, drummer Silas Graae, and bassist Johan Wohlert, have announced their final tour dates, marking the end of an incredible 30-year journey. And for their devoted fans in Southeast Asia, there’s a bittersweet opportunity: one of their very last performances will take place exclusively in Bangkok.
On Friday, November 14th, 2025, Moonstar Studio will be the setting for a truly momentous occasion: “Mew: The Farewell Show.” This concert represents one of the final chances for fans to witness the band’s iconic, ethereal soundscapes and captivating live performances before they bid their official farewell.
Mew’s story began in 1995, and their impact on the indie rock scene has been undeniable. Their 1997 debut album, “A Triumph for Man,” laid the foundation for their unique sound. It was their third album, 2003’s “Frengers,” that propelled them to international acclaim, showcasing re-imagined tracks from their earlier work. And 2005’s “And the Glass Handed Kites” solidified their legacy as innovators. Their final album, “Visuals,” released in 2017, capped off a remarkable discography.
In a poignant statement, the band reflected on their journey:
“30 years? Looking back to 1995, in Jonas’ teenage bedroom, making noise, nobody in their right mind would have believed we’d still be here. But here we are! Maybe we were out of our minds, on a mission. We dared to dream, and we dreamt big—together.
Today, we’ve traveled the world, played countless shows—it feels like just yesterday we were in that noisy bedroom, trying to become a band. We want to invite all our Frengers around the world to celebrate 30 years of Mew. These shows are truly special for us, for you, and for Mew.”
