This Chinese New Year is extra special for me! Not only are we welcoming the Year of the Wood Snake, but Chowking, my family’s go-to for decades, is also celebrating its 40th anniversary. It’s like a double dose of good fortune!

Get ready to experience the ultimate Sarap-Saya because Chowking is throwing a grand celebration! The “Grand Chinese New Year Chowlubong” on January 29th promises to be an unforgettable event. I’m particularly excited to see Darren Espanto and BGYO perform live – it’s going to be an absolute blast! I can already imagine the vibrant atmosphere, the delicious food, and the infectious energy that will fill the air.

Chowking has always been a staple at our family’s Chinese New Year gatherings. The aroma of their delicious Family Lauriat, the irresistible crunch of their Buchi, and the comforting warmth of their signature Halo-Halo instantly bring back warm memories of laughter, togetherness, and cherished moments with loved ones. These are the memories that make Chinese New Year truly special.

This year, Chowking is adding a playful twist to the celebrations with “Kung Hei Fat CHOW!” – a greeting that perfectly captures the spirit of abundance and the joy of sharing a delicious Chowking meal with loved ones. It’s a reminder that good fortune is best shared with those we cherish.

“For 40 years, Chowking has been part of countless Filipino celebrations, and we’re excited to celebrate this milestone alongside Chinese New Year. We invite everyone to celebrate with us at any Chowking store nationwide to experience the Sarap-Saya of the season,” shared Jia Du, Vice President for Marketing.

I can’t wait to join the Grand Chowlubong on January 29th! But if you can’t make it, don’t worry – you can still experience the Sarap-Saya of Chinese New Year at any Chowking store nationwide. Treat yourself to their special Chinese New Year offerings, like the Prosperity Toss and the Longevity Noodles, and savor the delicious flavors that have brought joy to Filipino families for 40 years.

Let’s raise a glass (or a bowl of delicious noodles!) to Chowking and to a prosperous Year of the Wood Snake!
