About Buzz

Released on August 9 via 88rising, NIKI’s third studio album Buzz dives into the thrilling moments of self-discovery through 13 introspective tracks. Highlights include the vibrant summer anthem “Tsunami”, the dreamy “Blue Moon”, the playful lead single “Too Much of a Good Thing”, the heartfelt title track “Buzz”, and the emotionally raw “Did You Like Her In The Morning?”

Drawing inspiration from trailblazing female icons like Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, Carly Simon, and Liz Phair, NIKI combines confessional lyrics with a guitar-driven sound. Collaborating with producers Tyler Chester (Sara Bareilles, Madison Cunningham) and Ethan Gruska (Phoebe Bridgers, Fiona Apple), she infused the album with a rich, exploratory spirit.

NIKI’s Rising Legacy

From her early days in Jakarta writing love poems in English class and posting acoustic covers on YouTube, NIKI has blossomed into a global star. With over three billion streams, sold-out shows on multiple continents, and standout performances at festivals worldwide, she’s earned her spot among today’s most dynamic artists.

Her career highlights include front-row appearances at Paris Fashion Week, four tracks featured in a Marvel film soundtrack, and some of the most critically acclaimed music of 2024—all achieved before turning 25.
