“This was a lot of fun,” shares Chris Hemsworth in the new “Cast Featurette” for Transformers One. In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, Hemsworth lends his voice to Orion Pax. Brian Tyree Henry, who voices D-16, adds, “We get to see all these characters be elevated in a completely different way than we’ve seen them before.”
Transformers One explores the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron—who were once close friends before becoming the sworn enemies who shaped the fate of Cybertron. Alongside Hemsworth and Henry, the film features an all-star voice cast including Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm.

ORION PAX (Chris Hemsworth)
Orion Pax is a young, ambitious bot, not yet the legendary Optimus Prime he’s destined to become. Rebellious and endlessly curious, Orion is charitable to a fault and believes in the good in everyone—even his enemies. Though he’s charming and cheeky, he’s terrible at following Cybertron’s strict rules. His curiosity about Cybertron’s history could prove vital for its future. As he tells D-16, “There’s gotta be something more I can do. I can feel it.”
D-16 (Brian Tyree Henry)
D-16 is a rule-abiding young Transformer, destined to become Megatron—the most feared of all. For now, he’s a principled bot who idolizes his leader, Sentinel Prime, but struggles with his own limitations, like the lack of a Transformer cog to change forms. Despite his strict adherence to rules, he’s best friends with the mischievous Orion Pax, often finding himself dragged into trouble. “If we survive this,” D-16 warns, “I’m going to kill you!”

B-127 (Keegan-Michael Key)
B-127 is a loyal, energetic bot with a heart of gold. Though he’s a bit naïve, his resilience and optimism keep the group together during tough times. B-127 is also known for his love of nicknames—his current favorite? “BADASSATRON.”
ELITA-1 (Scarlett Johansson)
Elita-1 is a natural leader, sharp and efficient in overseeing the miners at the Energon mines, including troublemakers Orion Pax and D-16. Beneath her tough exterior, Elita is ambitious and skilled in combat, though she’s still figuring out where her path will lead. Her sarcastic nickname for Orion? “Mr. Zero-Seconds-Since-My-Last-Accident.”
SENTINEL PRIME (Jon Hamm)
Sentinel Prime is the hero of Cybertron, a charismatic leader who single-handedly defeated the Quintessons after the fall of the Primes. Always cool under fire, Sentinel is a showman with lightning-fast boot jets and a commanding presence. As D-16 says, “Just trust in Sentinel Prime.”

ALPHA TRION (Laurence Fishburne)
Alpha Trion is a wise and noble ancestor, one of the first Transformers created by Primus. For thousands of cycles, he has defended Cybertron against the Quintessons, earning his place as one of Cybertron’s most revered warriors.
DARKWING (Isaac C. Singleton Jr.)
Darkwing is a tough-as-nails bot who runs the Energon mining operation with an iron fist, making life difficult for workers like Orion Pax and D-16. But he faces challenges of his own on the track, where he’s a fierce competitor in the Iacon 5000 race—a high-stakes event that reveals who truly is “more than meets the eye.”
AIRACHNID (Vanessa Liguori)
Airachnid is a terrifying hunter, able to transform into a drone and equipped with razor-sharp arms. With creepy movements and countless inescapable eyes, she’s a bot to be avoided at all costs.
SHOCKWAVE (Jason Konopisos-Alvarez)
Shockwave is a brilliant scientist with a penchant for experimental weaponry. As part of The High Guard, he’s a formidable opponent with a love for shocking his captives awake.
SOUNDWAVE (Jon Bailey)
Soundwave, Shockwave’s equally formidable partner, keeps enemies in check for The High Guard. He’s known for his ability to scan electrical impulses and unleash devastating sound waves—abilities that make him a terrifying adversary.
JAZZ (Evan Michael Lee)
Jazz, who will one day become a close ally of Optimus Prime, starts his journey in Transformers One as a young miner working alongside Orion Pax. Under Elita-1’s strict supervision, Jazz helps excavate the volatile and explosive Energon.
STARSCREAM (Steve Buscemi)
Starscream, leader of the banished High Guard, is a ruthless fighter with unmatched aerial combat skills. Living by the mantra “All that counts is the strength of one bot over another,” he will eventually become Megatron’s opportunistic lieutenant.
