Charlie Burg made a triumphant return on October 12 with his latest single, “Before We Step Inside,” available now via AWAL. This release arrives just in time to set the stage for his inaugural Southeast Asian tour, marking his first musical endeavor since his debut album, “Infinitely Tall,” back in 2022. “Before We Step Inside” offers a sneak peek into the intriguing evolution of his sonic identity as an artist. You can stream the single to experience this new artistic direction for yourself.

The track unfolds like an intimate conversation, driven by cautiously optimistic guitar melodies and a slow, shimmering groove. Surprisingly, “Before We Step Inside” began its journey as a forgotten voice memo, rediscovered by Charlie during the early days of summer. Recognizing the song’s potential, he shared a snippet on TikTok, and it instantly caught fire. Fans and fellow artists alike flocked to the comments section, imploring Charlie to release the song and even creating their own covers from various corners of the globe. With a bittersweet perspective on the imminent end of a relationship, the song encapsulates the essence of savoring every moment before its abrupt and hollow conclusion.

Reflecting on his recent release, Charlie Burg explains, “‘Before We Step Inside’ narrates the tale of two individuals grappling with existential dread just before entering a party, only to promptly dance their sorrows away. The song cleverly contrasts the weight of despair with the ecstasy of celebration.” Furthermore, on October 14, Charlie joined the lineup of Briston Maroney’s Paradise Festival in Nashville, Tennessee, where he shared the stage with Samia, Hovvdy, and other talented artists.

In August of the previous year, Charlie Burg unveiled his debut album, “Infinitely Tall.” This 15-track masterpiece is a narrative divided into three distinct chapters, each intimately tied to a specific place that has left its mark on Charlie’s journey – from his childhood home in Detroit to his college days in Syracuse, and finally, his current life in the bustling streets of New York City. “Infinitely Tall” has proven to be a game-changer for Charlie, elevating his musical portfolio to over 300 million streams worldwide. It has garnered acclaim from renowned publications such as The FADER, V Magazine, Atwood Magazine, and many more.

Since the album’s release, Charlie has been on an extensive tour that has taken him across North America and Europe, sharing his music with audiences far and wide. Notable highlights from his tour include electrifying performances at New York’s Governors Ball and the Highlands Music Festival in Ontario, where he further solidified his presence in the global music scene.
