The screenplay for “Barbie” was co-written by Greta Gerwig, who also directed the film, and Noah Baumbach, an Oscar nominee. The story is based on the Barbie franchise by Mattel. The movie is produced by David Heyman, who was nominated for an Academy Award, as well as Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, and Robbie Brenner. The executive producers are Michael Sharp, Josey McNamara, Ynon Kreiz, Courtenay Valenti, Toby Emmerich, and Cate Adams.
