Affleck described the film as an inspiration and a source of positivity, likening it to how Michael Jordan inspires the world.
“AIR,” featuring award-winning director Ben Affleck and starring Matt Damon, tells the story of the incredible partnership between a young Michael Jordan and Nike’s emerging basketball division, which transformed the realm of sports and modern culture through the revolutionary Air Jordan brand.
In addition to Matt Damon, “AIR” features an all-star cast including Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman, Chris Messina, Marlon Wayans, Chris Tucker, and Viola Davis. The film’s touching story centers around an unorthodox team risking everything on a career-defining gamble, a determined mother who understands the value of her son’s remarkable talent, and the basketball prodigy who ultimately becomes the greatest of all time.
Alex Convery wrote the screenplay for “AIR,” which again is directed by Ben Affleck. The film is produced by a team consisting of Peter Guber, Jason Michael Berman, David Ellison, Jeff Robinov, Madison Ainley, Damon, and Affleck.
The film is set to be released in Philippine cinemas on April 19 and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery.
