The eagerly awaited new song “The Loneliest” from international rock sensations Måneskin is now available; listen here. The band had a tremendous summer of success, dominating festival slots all around the world and performing at events like Global Citizen, the MTV VMAs, and more. The single follows that success.
“The Loneliest” is writhing with odes to vintage old-school rock ballads as the band ventures outside of their comfort zone to vocalize a new style that hasn’t been explored since their global triumph.
The band is most exposed to this song, which features booming voices and enthralling guitar solos tempered with delicacy.
Talking about the single, Damiano of Måneskin says: “We’re so excited for you all to finally hear The Loneliest. This song means a lot to me, it’s a personal song but I hope you can all relate to it in your own way. We played a tiny surprise show in London last night and performed The Loneliest live for the first time and your reaction meant so much to us! We’re having a whirlwind year touring the globe, meeting fans at gigs and festivals all over the world, from Japan to America to Europe and beyond, and we can’t wait to continue touring and releasing more music into 2023!”
Måneskin are still redefining what it means to be a rock band in 2022, leaving an enduring impression on the music landscape with a swagger and attitude that are all too rare. They performed their brand-new single, “The Loneliest,” to rapturous applause from the 500-person capacity at The Underworld in Camden, North London, last night (Thursday, October 6). After taking to the streets to meet fans who weren’t able to get inside and performing an emotional, stripped-down version of “The Loneliest,” Maneskin, who had announced the event via their social media outlets the day before, gave fans inside and outside the venue a night they will never forget.
The band is enjoying a remarkable summer of global dominance while still riding high on the international popularity of their genuine radio hit, “Supermodel,” which has accumulated 170M global streams to date. The band rocked the crowd up close and personal at Lollapalooza, where they performed a stunning headline set to over 65,000 fans. They also sold out Italy’s historic Circo Massimo and played a stunning headline set to over 70,000 fans. Other notable 2022 events include Rock in Rio, Pinkpop, Rock am Ring, Summer Sonic, and many more.
They also played their hit single “SUPERMODEL” at this year’s MTV VMA Awards, adding to the band’s impressive accomplishments in just one year. However, censors deemed the performance inappropriate for TV transmission because it was too hot for live television. Since then, it has been restored. The band joyfully received the VMA for “Best Alternative Video” on a joyous evening, making it the first time ever that an Italian artist had won the prestigious award. Before returning to Europe and the UK in 2023, Mneskin will bring the LOUD KIDS tour to the United States this winter.
