Netflix is in production on a documentary series about global football star David Beckham. In the ultimate multi-part series, Beckham’s humble working-class background in East London and the passion and perseverance that helped him become one of the most recognizable and closely watched athletes of all time will be explored in greater depth than just his star power. It will include a combination of never-before-seen family and personal archive material from the past forty years, real-life experiences, and interviews with football legends, family members, and friends who have shared his journey.

Never-before-released personal archive material, current-day candids, and interviews with his family, friends, and football personalities will all be featured in this documentary. The documentary series is produced by Studio 99 in association with Ventureland.

Tim Cragg’s cinematography is paired with Chris King’s editing on Senna and Amy and Bjorn Johnson’s re-editing on Don’t F**k With Cats and Bad Sport (Three Identical Strangers, Billie).
