Poppy Baskcomb was born in Portsmouth and now lives in London. She is managed by Dua Lipa and Lana Del Rey, and has previously worked with Melanie C, Sonny Fodera, and Friction.

Tobias Rieser is currently based in Vienna, while Adrian Held is based in Berlin, Germany. The Klangkarussell combo is both from Salzburg, Austria. The duo has performed all over the world, including in Austria, Switzerland, much of Europe, London, and even Columbia, as well as at festivals alongside Ed Sheeran, Deadmau5, and David Guetta, to mention a few. While Klangkarussell’s style is fiercely autonomous, their music wouldn’t be out of place on a playlist alongside Elderbrook, Bob Moses, or ZHU.

As ‘This Love’ begins, the listener is greeted by mellowed tones. Poppy Baskcomb’s voice provides a soothing atmosphere, while the rhythmic rolling basslines give comforting warmth. The song is bright and upbeat, finding delight in the small things and featuring a simple yet exquisite production approach.

“This track was one of the first projects I was given as a writer nearly 5 years ago. So it’s so good to see it finally coming out. It means a lot to me as it’s the song that helped push my career in songwriting. The song is about standing by someone in their darkest times and loving them whether that be in a romantic or platonic way. Just letting them know you’re there for them,” says Poppy Baskcomb
