Netflix has announced the return of Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya as well as the completion of production on Alice in Borderland: Season 2, directed by Shinsuke Sato and starring Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya. The second season will be released in December 2022.

The popular Japanese series that made the top 10 in over 70 countries returns, with the 10 cast members that survived the deadly games in Season 1

The second season of “Alice in Borderland,” which sparked a worldwide frenzy when it premiered in December 2020, will be published this December. Arisu and Usagi, who have lost their sense of purpose in life, risk their lives in the hopes of returning to their own planet by completing a series of “games” that appeal to various character attributes like intelligence, strength, and teamwork.

  • The ten cast members that won “games” at the end of Season 1 and will return for Season 2 have been confirmed, and season 2 production is now complete.
  • Returning cast members Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Nijiro Murakami, Ayaka Miyoshi, Dori Sakurada, Aya Asahina, Sho Aoyagi, and Riisa Naka all express their excitement to be back in the film.
  • Yamazaki says, “We had these really large-scale scenes everyday and the world of the show is bigger than ever. I enjoyed filming the show very much and look forward to the final production”, adding Tsuchiya, “Each shot has big set pieces, like explosions. I was able to experience it like my character Usagi, in those realistic scenes. Everyday was such a valuable experience for me. I felt it was a really enjoyable time.โ€

To return to their real-world, Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) are chasing the mystery of “Borderland.” At a location that appears to be the key to unlocking the enigma, they encounter their friends, foes, and the mastermind behind the “game.” For each “game” they win, Arisu and his friends gather all the numbered playing cards they can. Only the Jack, Queen, and King cards are left. Arisu and his friends take on the new “game,” which is more challenging and expansive than the previous one. Will they be able to return to their real-world once they have acquired all of the cards?
