Japanese hip-hop queen Awich is doing something no Asian artist has ever done before: headlining Red Bull Symphonic.
That’s right. The powerhouse rapper is set to make her debut in the prestigious concert series this November, performing alongside the Tokyo Secret Orchestra conducted by Mika Takayama. Four exclusive shows across Osaka, Fukuoka, Sendai, and Yokohama will transform her hard-hitting catalogue into cinematic symphonic reimaginings.

For Awich, this collaboration hits deep. “Hip-hop is a genre born from the use of sampling and beats in environments where access to traditional instruments was often difficult,” she says. “Being able to reconstruct my songs with an orchestra feels like a significant milestone and holds deep meaning for me.”
She hopes to deliver “a cinematic musical experience: something that feels like watching an epic film.” And honestly? After hearing what Red Bull Symphonic has done with artists like Metro Boomin, Asake, and Rick Ross, I have no doubt she’ll pull it off.

These aren’t just standard orchestral covers. Every track has been reconstructed from the ground up—melody, rhythm, harmony, all reimagined while keeping the spirit of the originals intact.
