In a heartfelt gift to fans amid her ongoing battle with breast cancer, BRIT Award-winning powerhouse Jessie J has released stripped-back acoustic renditions of her recent singles ‘No Secrets’ and ‘Living My Best Life’—the latter featuring a tender, unrehearsed appearance from her young son, Sky. Recorded at London’s iconic Metropolis Studios with a live band, the tracks arrive paired with minimalist black-and-white visuals that spotlight Jessie’s raw vocal prowess and emotional delivery.
“Sky had turned up to the studio while I was recording and said, ‘Mummy up,’ so I picked him up and said let’s do another take,” Jessie shared about the spontaneous collaboration. “It was the best take of the few we had. His shining light in my life shone bright in this moment.” The acoustic versions offer a poignant contrast to the original productions: ‘Living My Best Life’—a Ryan Tedder-produced anthem of joy—transforms into a lullaby-like serenade, while ‘No Secrets’ (already playlisted on BBC 1Xtra) becomes even more vulnerable in its bare-bones arrangement.
These releases follow Jessie’s electrifying performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball and her show-stopping BAFTA Television Awards comeback after a six-year TV hiatus. They also precede her No Secrets Tour this autumn, an 18-date acoustic journey across Europe and the U.S. with most shows already sold out:
