Singer-songwriter Lily Fitts unveils her highly anticipated debut album, ‘Getting By,’ out now on Thirty Knots Records. This 10-track collection pairs warm acoustic textures with unflinching lyrical vulnerability, offering a raw and honest perspective on navigating life’s turbulent waters. Since her first single emerged in 2023, the 24-year-old artist has captivated listeners with her heartfelt blend of indie-folk and alternative country, and Getting By serves as a potent coming-of-age story, chronicling the highs and lows of young adulthood—heartbreak, anxiety, depression, grief, and complex relationships. Pre-release singles like “Brown Eyed Baby” and “In The Dirt” have already amassed millions of streams, signaling the fervent anticipation for this full-length project.
“If listeners take anything from this album, let it be this: it’s okay to not have it all figured out, it’s okay to break, it’s okay to feel like you’re just surviving some days,” Lily shares. “But even in the chaos, there’s still strength, there’s still beauty in being vulnerable, and there’s always a glimmer of hope that can pull you through.” This ethos permeates the album, cementing Fitts’ place as one of the most promising new voices in country-folk. Getting By is honest, vulnerable, and full of heart, marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey. Influenced by her Boston upbringing and a diverse range of musical inspirations, her sound carries warmth, depth, and unmistakable sincerity, rooted in emotional honesty and sharp lyrical truth, designed to connect, heal, and empower.
Simultaneously, Lily announces her first-ever headline tour, The Getting By Tour, hitting the road this fall with shows in 11 cities across the U.S. This major step follows a whirlwind 18 months of writing and recording her debut, during which she honed her stagecraft supporting artists like Michael Marcagi, Sam Barber, and Myles Smith, and graced major festival stages including Bonnaroo, Summerfest, Lovin’ Life, Springfest, and Extra Innings. Her international presence is rapidly growing: she makes her UK headline debut at The Grace in London on July 3rd (sold out in just three days) and performs at BST Hyde Park on July 4th (also sold out) alongside Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, FINNEAS, and Gigi Perez. Further expanding her global reach, she’ll join Willow Avalon for select North American dates and support Max McNown on eight European dates in December, including iconic venues like Dublin’s 3Olympia and London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town.
Lily Fitts’ journey to this moment began early; she’s been sharing music online since the age of 9. Her authentic acoustic covers on TikTok drew significant attention, including nods from artists like Noah Kahan, Zach Bryan, The Lumineers, and Sam Barber. This online buzz culminated in a pivotal moment: her first-ever live performance with Zach Bryan at his sold-out Crypto Arena show in LA. Since then, she’s amassed over 34 million streams across DSPs, solidifying her status as a rising force in the indie-folk world. With Getting By now released and a packed touring schedule ahead, connecting deeply with fans worldwide, it’s abundantly clear this powerful debut album is just the beginning for Lily Fitts.
