Indie rock favorites Frankie Cosmos have debuted their charming new music video for “Pressed Flower,” featuring comedy icon Tracey Ullman in a delightful New York City adventure. The track serves as the lead single from their upcoming album “Different Talking,” set for release June 27 on Sub Pop Records.

In the Adam Kolodny-directed video, Ullman plays a mischievous Manhattanite causing playful chaos across the city while sporting various disguises, with band members appearing as baffled bystanders. “It’s a dream come true to have Tracey in our video,” said frontwoman Greta Kline. “She brings such depth and humor to every character she plays. Creating this chaotic NYC persona with her was an absolute joy.”

Kline describes “Pressed Flower” as exploring “that moment when you’re figuring out who you’ve become while still carrying pieces of who you were.” The song’s reflective yet upbeat tone perfectly introduces “Different Talking,” which the band calls their most collaborative and polished work to date.

The album announcement comes with news of an extensive world tour kicking off September 3 in Kingston, NY. North American dates will feature support from Fantasy Of A Broken Heart and Moontype (September 3-20) followed by Chris Cohen and Emily Yacina (October 9-25). The European leg begins November 15 in Dublin with Babehoven.

“Different Talking” is now available for pre-order in multiple formats, including a special “Loser Edition” on opaque red vinyl. The release follows well-received singles “Bitch Heart” and “Vanity,” which critics praised for expanding the band’s sound while maintaining their signature intimate lyricism.

With Ullman’s cameo adding a touch of comedic brilliance, the “Pressed Flower” video offers a perfect preview of Frankie Cosmos’ evolving artistry as they prepare to share their sixth studio album this summer.
