City of Dreams Manila is thrilled to announce that renowned actor and singer-songwriter Ariel Rivera will be headlining the 11th edition of the Centerplay Concert Series for one night only on August 28 at 9 pm.
Ariel Rivera, a celebrated figure in Original Pilipino Music (OPM), was first discovered in 1989 and quickly gained fame in the 1990s, earning the nickname “Kilabot ng Kolehiyala.” His debut self-titled album was released in 1991, followed by his second album, “Simple Lang,” just a year later. Both albums achieved triple platinum status, solidifying his place in the OPM industry. Ariel is known for his R&B and melodic pop hits, including the chart-topping singles “Sana Kahit Minsan,” “Simple Lang,” “Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin,” and “A Smile In Your Heart.”
Throughout his illustrious career, Ariel Rivera has garnered numerous awards, including Awit Awards’ Best New Male Artist in 1991, Best Performance by a New Male Recording Artist in 1992, and Best Supporting Actor at the 1992 Metro Manila Film Festival.
“Ariel Rivera Live at CenterPlay” continues the trend of sold-out monthly concerts at City of Dreams Manila’s Centerplay stage. Previous OPM icons who have graced the Centerplay Concert Series include Noel Cabangon, Neocolours, Jinky Vidal, Yeng Constantino, Raymond Lauchengco, Janno Gibbs, Rey Valera, Ice Seguerra, “Soul Siren” Nina, and The CompanY. The concert will also feature alternating performances from DJs and bands, including Highschool Playlist and Swerve Band, from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am.
CenterPlay offers a top-tier entertainment experience, complete with light meals, signature cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages in a stylish snack and cocktail lounge setting.
Guests can reserve seating with consumables starting at P3,000, which includes bar snacks, burgers, fries, and drinks. VIP couch seating for a party of eight is available for P24,000, while VIP small tables for four are priced at P12,000, both options inclusive of consumables.
