At AnimeJapan 2023, Netflix wowed fans with their range of current and upcoming anime titles, which included popular shows like PLUTO and the new series ลoku: The Inner Chambers. The streaming service presented these titles through multiple booth presentations and a star-studded stage event, much to the delight of fans both in Japan and around the world. The diverse slate of anime showcased at the event demonstrated Netflix’s commitment to providing a variety of stories and characters for its audience.
The event spanned multiple genres, such as sci-fi and action. Among the newly announced titles were ลoku: The Inner Chambers, the first anime adaptation of Fumi Yoshinaga’s popular manga, and Yakitori: Soldiers of Misfortune, an anime series based on a new military science fiction novel by Carlo Zen, known for The Saga of Tanya the Evil. These titles join previously announced shows like Onmyoji, an anime series based on Baku Yumemakura’s tales about Abe Seimei, which is set to be released later this year. The variety of genres and source materials showcased Netflix’s commitment to providing a diverse selection of anime for its audience.

The event included a reveal of new teaser art created by Urasawa, providing fans with a glimpse into the world and characters of PLUTO. The appearance of these guests at the event demonstrated Netflix’s commitment to bringing together talented creators and voice actors to bring their anime titles to life.
