Based on the best-selling manga published by KODANSHA Ltd. and created by Katsuhisa Minami, Japanese Anime The Fable revolves around a legendary hitman known simply as “Fable.” Trained from a young age to be the ultimate assassin, Fable has amassed a staggering number of confirmed kills. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when the head of his crime family orders him to lay low for a year.
Uprooted from his familiar surroundings, Fable relocates to Osaka, a city teeming with trigger-happy criminals. Despite his formidable skills, he faces a daunting challenge: refrain from taking any lives during his mandated hiatus. In a world where violence is commonplace, Fable must learn to control his impulses and navigate the ordinary if he hopes to survive.

Adapted for anime by Yuya Takashima (“Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury”) and Mayumi Morita (“Goddess Café Terrace”), and directed by Ryosuke Takahashi, “The Fable” promises a gripping exploration of the human psyche amidst a backdrop of crime and intrigue.
