Wilchai, a 22-year-old musician from New York City, combines jazz-tinged harmonies, reflective poetry, and sumptuous vintage textures to produce a distinctive style of alternative R&B and indie.
Wilchai is a skilled jazz guitarist and producer who has collaborated with and supported musicians including Sarah Kinsley, Maude Latour, Kaki, and Eva Westphal. Her session guitar work has garnered over 1.6 million streams.

Charlotte Day Wilson, Nick Hakim, and Dijon are examples of contemporary Wilchai’s influences. Wilchai’s relationship with music has only lately started to open the globe to her, taking her from jazz bars in Chicago to stages in LA and most recently NYC’s Terminal Five (cancelled due to COVID-19). โ€œMusic for me is a conduit for connecting to people, and I hope my music allows others to tap into both their own thoughts and the raw, universal emotions we all share.,โ€ Wilchai says.

In her most recent song, “The Distance,” Wilchai discusses gay love and the disorienting sensations of newly discovered vulnerability that goes along with it. She performed all of the instruments, produced, sung, and mixed the song. She also hopes to release a number of songs in the spring of 2023.
