RCA Records to release the Original soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s Forthcoming Film, ‘ELVIS’ Starring Austin Butler and Tom Hands. The movie opens in theaters on June 24.

Doja Cat’s “Vegas,” which features “Hound Dog,” will be released on all platforms on May 6th; pre-save the track here. Doja debuted the single for the ‘ELVIS’ OST at Coachella this year, receiving high praise for her performance; UPROXX said, “…we’ve definitely seen all the evidence we need to say that Doja should have headlined Coachella 2022.” She also brought out acclaimed Gospel artist Shonka, who plays Big Mama Thornton in the film and will be featured on the upcoming soundtrack. Several of Luhrmann’s musical colleagues from the past appeared on the Coachella 2022 lineup.

‘ELVIS’ is an epic big-screen spectacle directed by visionary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann that examines the life and music of Elvis Presley (Austin Butler) through the lens of his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). Elvis Presley’s tremendous collection of work from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s is featured on the soundtrack, as well as his numerous musical influences and lasting influence on popular artists today.

Warner Bros.’ ‘ELVIS’ is a spectacular big-screen spectacle. Starring Austin Butler and Oscar winner Tom Hanks, the film is directed by Oscar nominee Baz Luhrmann and covers the life and music of Elvis Presley. Elvis Presley’s (Butler) life is told through the lens of his tumultuous connection with Colonel Tom Parker, his enigmatic manager (Hanks). According to Parker, the film explores the two’s complicated relationship over the course of 20 years, from Presley’s climb to unprecedented celebrity, against the backdrop of America’s changing cultural environment and loss of innocence. Starring alongside Butler and Hanks, award-winning theatre actress Helen Thomson (“Top of the Lake: China Girl,” “Rake”) plays Elvis’s mother, Gladys, Richard Roxburgh (“Moulin Rouge!” “Breath,” “Hacksaw Ridge”) portrays Elvis’s father, Vernon, and DeJonge (“The Visit,” “Stray Dolls”) plays Priscilla.  Luke Bracey (“Hacksaw Ridge,” “Point Break”) plays Jerry Schilling, Natasha Bassett (“Hail, Caesar!”) plays Dixie Locke, David Wenham (“The Lord of the Rings” Trilogy, “Lion,” “300”) plays Hank Snow, Kelvin Harrison Jr. (“The Trial of the Chicago 7,” “The High Note”) plays B.B. King, Xavier Samuel (“Adore,” “Love & Friendship,” “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”) plays Scotty Moore, and Kodi Smit-McPhee (“The Power of the Dog”) plays Jimmie Rodgers Snow.
